As members of one body, we organize our family life around smaller groups of members that we call Missional Communities. These MC families exist for our maturity in Jesus and our united efforts at advancing the gospel in our city. MCs are open opportunities for the committed family to be stirred on in faithful gospel living and for others to enter in and see our family life around the gospel.
MCs are organized around formal and informal rhythms of life together. The best way to get to know an MC is through their weekly meeting & meal - email an MC leader (listed on the right) for more info.
The gospel is the good news that the perfect, just, & all-knowing God is reconciling all things to himself through the holy life, atoning death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This good news is the centerpiece of our life together as a church. We speak it to one another in encouragement day-by-day, celebrate & apply it together in Sunday gatherings, and proclaim it to neighbors with dependence on the Spirit to convict & call new worshippers to the deserving Christ.
“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.”
1 Corinthians 15:3–5, ESV
The church is not a building, a set of programs, or a legacy - it's a family formed by the gospel intent on glorifying and enjoying God forever. When we experience the church as a family we love and not an event we attend, then we begin to connect the truth of the gospel to our daily life and not just during a couple of hours on a Sunday.
Our community life as a church is intended to glorify God, to mature us in understanding and applying the gospel, and to display the good news of redeeming love visibly to our friends and neighbors.
"And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers."
Acts 2:42, ESV
The people of God's possession in Christ are a people born again to the mission of Christ to spread God's glory as they go near & far with the gospel news.
Our church is a family on mission to see our city & beyond engaged with the news of God's redemption in Jesus. As we work, play, & eat we do so with gospel intentionality in the hope of seeing our friends & neighbors treasure Jesus.
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
1 Peter 2:9–10, ESV
